  • Dean Vomacka
    • Please Welcome Dean Vomacka, PGA, our new Head Golf Professional

It is our pleasure to introduce our new Head Golf Professional at Tucson Country Club. Dean Vomacka has spent most of his adult life in various roles in the golf business. He has played well throughout his career, missing Tour School Final Stage by one stroke in 1994. He qualified for the Nike (Web.com) Tour in 1997, and has qualified for 3 PGA Tour events. He was named the Southwest Section Player of the Year in 2008 & 2009, winning the Southwest Section PGA Championship, among other events each year.

Dean started his career in 1998 as an assistant professional in California. He moved to Arizona in 2002 and became the first assistant at Silverleaf in Scottsdale. He became a Class A PGA Professional, and was quickly promoted to be the Head Golf Professional at Silverleaf.

In 2006, he accepted the position of Head Golf Professional at the Stone Canyon Club in Oro Valley, Arizona, where he spent the next four years. After spending time working with family in North Carolina, Dean returned to Arizona and the golf business, working at Flagstaff Ranch through the Fall of 2017 and most recently at Paradise Valley Country Club.

We are very fortunate to have Dean join us at Tucson Country Club as our new Head Golf Professional. He has worked and learned under two individuals that I respect very much in our business; Miss Denise Martinez and Mr. Todd Huizinga. He is a terrific gentleman, wonderful player, very good instructor, outstanding merchandiser and very respected as a golf professional.

  • Mike Manoukian
    • Tucson Country Club’s latest addition to the Golf Professional staff is Mike Manoukian a member of our team since September of 2017.  Mike grew up in Murray, Utah and began his career in the golf industry at the age of 16.  Mike worked at several golf courses in Utah while pursuing his degree in Urban Planning from the University of Utah.

In 2008, shortly after graduating and obtaining his degree, Mike moved to Tucson, AZ and accepted a position as Crew Foreman at the Mountain Course at Ventana Canyon.  It was during his time as Crew Foreman from 2008-2012 that Mike discovered his passion for the game golf and thus made the decision to join the Golf Shop Operations team at Ventana Canyon.  Soon after joining the golf operation, Mike discovered his desire to assist Members and Guests with all aspects of golf which only fueled his decision to further pursue his career in the golf industry.

Other notable positions Mike has held in the golf industry are Service Area Supervisor at McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale and Service Area Staff Member at The Gallery Golf Club in Marana.  Mike just recently enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Management Program with the goal of earning membership into the PGA of America.  Mike has many roles at Tucson Country Club including Junior Golf Leader, Golf Instruction, Merchandising and providing Members and Guests with an unparalleled golf experience.

  • Josh Ostler
    • Josh Ostler, PGA – Golf Professional Staff

Josh Ostler grew up in Orem, Utah where he developed a love for the game of golf at a young age.  He enjoyed playing recreationally until making the varsity high school golf team as a freshman.  It was there that he developed a love for competitive golf.  He attended Brigham Young University (BYU) before doing a service mission in the Philippines for two years.  In 2014, Josh moved to San Jose, CA where he began his professional career in the golf industry while getting married and having two little boys.

Josh has worked hard to increase his skills and knowledge by going through the Professional Golf Management program and was recently elected to PGA membership in September 2017.  His favorite part of working in the golf industry is seeing people develop a love for the game while navigating the many ups and downs along the way.  Josh is excited for this next step in his career and can’t wait to be a part of the excellent tradition that exists at Tucson Country Club.
