  • Dean Vomacka
    • Dean Vomacka has spent most of his adult life in various roles in the golf business. He has played well throughout his career, missing Tour School Final Stage by one stroke in 1994. He qualified for the Nike (Web.com) Tour in 1997, and has qualified for 3 PGA Tour events. He was named the Southwest Section Player of the Year in 2008 & 2009, winning the Southwest Section PGA Championship, among other events each year.

Dean started his career in 1998 as an assistant professional in California. He moved to Arizona in 2002 and became the first assistant at Silverleaf in Scottsdale. He became a Class A PGA Professional, and was quickly promoted to be the Head Golf Professional at Silverleaf.

In 2006, he accepted the position of Head Golf Professional at the Stone Canyon Club in Oro Valley, Arizona, where he spent the next four years. After spending time working with family in North Carolina, Dean returned to Arizona and the golf business, working at Flagstaff Ranch through the Fall of 2017 and most recently at Paradise Valley Country Club.

We are very fortunate to have Dean with us at Tucson Country Club as our Head Golf Professional. He has worked and learned under two individuals that I respect very much in our business; Miss Denise Martinez and Mr. Todd Huizinga. He is a terrific gentleman, wonderful player, very good instructor, outstanding merchandiser and very respected as a golf professional.

  • Josh Ostler
    • Josh Ostler, PGA – Golf Professional Staff

Josh Ostler grew up in Orem, Utah where he developed a love for the game of golf at a young age.  He enjoyed playing recreationally until making the varsity high school golf team as a freshman.  It was there that he developed a love for competitive golf.  He attended Brigham Young University (BYU) before doing a service mission in the Philippines for two years.  In 2014, Josh moved to San Jose, CA where he began his professional career in the golf industry while getting married and having two little boys.

Josh has worked hard to increase his skills and knowledge by going through the Professional Golf Management program and was recently elected to PGA membership in September 2017.  His favorite part of working in the golf industry is seeing people develop a love for the game while navigating the many ups and downs along the way.  Josh is excited for this next step in his career and can’t wait to be a part of the excellent tradition that exists at Tucson Country Club.

  • Alex Holland
    •  Please welcome our newest member of the golf professional staff, Alex Holland.  Alex has been working in Member Services at TCC for 2 years and we are excited he has made the commitment to pursue his membership into the PGA of America.  Alex will be splitting time in the golf shop as well as outside, where he will be taking a leadership role with the Member Service team.

Alex Holland grew up in Cottage Grove, Minnesota where at an early age he began playing golf with his father and grandparents.  He quickly began playing competitively, first in junior golf tournaments around Minnesota, then with his high school golf team.  After high school Alex attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study PGA Golf Management, where he learned the fundamentals of the golf industry.  While attending UNL he continued playing competitively and was in the top five on the tournament prize money list for his final two semesters.  Alex began his career in golf at Golden Valley Country Club just outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He spent three seasons there working in various roles.  He came to Tucson Country Club in October of 2017, planning to go back to Minnesota in May, but quickly decided to make Tucson his permanent home.  Alex is excited to be the newest addition to the golf professional staff at Tucson Country Club, where he looks to gain his Class A membership into the PGA of America and continues to grow personally and professionally.
